The Texas singer-songwriter proudly carries the label of country artist … yet she’s inspired by and often mixing in folk, blues and any number of influences. She’s at times reminiscent of Loretta Lynn … but also, First Aid Kit. She reveres country acts from decades gone by and masterfully paints pictures of heartbreak and hardscrabble lives … yet she’s still a teenager.

And when you put it all together it works beautifully, bound together tightly by Frankie’s distinctive voice. Simultaneously silky and strong, her voice carries you along through each song, shifting seamlessly from quietly soothing to powerfully booming.

Leonie is set to continue recording new music with the Texas Gentlemen at their home studio, Modern Electric Sound Recorders with Beau Bedford producing at the helm.

The 2018 Dallas Observer Music Award winner for Country Act, Frankie has shared a stage with The Old 97's and Nikki Lane and opened for Ray Wylie Hubbard who in his words was thankful for the opportunity "to close" for Leonie. Most recently, Frankie opened for Lukas Nelson and Margo Price. She’s set to open for Joe Ely in 2019.

“She has so much control, and it’s beyond her years,” he says. “Really our whole goal in the studio was to leave space for her vocals because they’re like butter. I was really floored by it. She’s writing some really cool, interesting music for her scene and what her genre is, and her voice just blew me away; she literally just sounded super seasoned.”
— -Beau Bedford, Texas Gentleman and Modern Electric Sound Recorders
I was completely taken in by how earthy and haunting and just gorgeous it was as a whole.  Beautifully dark lyrics, with her melody floating along as the perfect compliment.
— Heather Little, Singer/Songwriter and co-writer of "Gunpowder and Lead" and "Me and Charlie Talkin'," recorded by Miranda Lambert
Frankie dropped by our gig tonight in Dallas and sang us a couple of songs. Y’all keep an eye out for this young lady. One of my favorite singer/songwriters in town, and easily one of the best.
